    Hamel Baseball Mission Statement

Let’s play baseball! As the season begins the Hamel board would like to remind everyone about our mission at Hamel Baseball.

Our goal, as an organization, is to nurture children and young adults in their development both as athletes and as people.  We provide a firm and supportive environment, which encourages learning while building self-confidence and self-esteem. We stress throughout the league the teaching of fundamentals, sportsmanship, and express the fun of the great game of baseball.

In the younger age groups we de-emphasize winning and losing and really concentrate on teaching the game. In the older age groups, we introduce individual position instruction, team work, and we keep winning and losing in perspective.

We understand that one can get caught up in the competition aspect of the sport. But, the first law of sports participation is that it is supposed to be a fun, rewarding and a learning experience. We want our children to get the most from their baseball experience. A happy, confident child can look forward to a rewarding and successful adulthood.

Hopefully everything that you do will support these goals and the mission statements of Hamel Baseball. So on behalf of Hamel Baseball, we look forward to the opportunity to provide your child with a quality baseball experience. See you at the ballpark.
