The Hawks’ offense jumped on Shakopee in game 1, completing a 17-5 route in 4 ½ innings on Friday night.  Every Hawks player safely reached base and all but 1 scored at least 1 run.  On the mound, Henry Peterson led the way, pitching 3 complete and giving up only 1 earned run.  

The Hawks recorded two victories Saturday, beating the East Ridge Raptors 4-3 in the early game, and the Farmington Tigers 13-7 in the afternoon.  In the early tilt, Sam Mohs led the offense, going 2 for 3 and scoring 2 runs.  Josh Wilson and Hunsley Cole each adding a run.  Sam Mohs pitched 3 scoreless innings, with Josh Wilson and Graham Utsey each contributing two innings from the mound.  

Against the Farmington Tigers, the Hawks offense came alive, with all but 1 Hawks player safely reaching base and a number of players scoring, lead by Wilson, who went 2 for 3 with a walk and scored 3 runs.  Mike Aamoth pitched a gem, pitching the last 4 innings complete, giving up a single run.  

The Hawks advanced to the championship game by defeating the Mankato Royals 8-0 in the semi-final game.  Offensively, Cole led the Hawks going 3 for 3, scoring 2 runs.  Oliver Agar went 2 for 3 with a walk and also scored twice.  Mohs pitched a complete 7-inning game shutout, giving up only 2 hits, 3 walks and striking out 13. 

The Hawks fell to Wayzata 9-6 in the championship game.  The Hawks spotted Wayzata 5 runs the first inning and could not quite climb back as they struggled offensively.  Although the Hawks settled for a second-place finish, it was a great weekend of baseball.
