My name is Bobby DeWitt and I am the Wayzata High School varsity baseball coach. I have been the varsity coach for the past three years and have been coaching in Wayzata since 2003.

I am writing this letter to let you know that I value all of the players that attend Wayzata High School regardless of where they played their youth baseball. While it is true I run various player and coach clinics for the PWYBA, I fully support Hamel Baseball and its efforts to provide a first-class baseball experience for its youth members. I have been involved with the Hamel Baseball coach's clinic for the past two years and am always open to assisting Hamel when needed.

All incoming players have the same opportunity to make a high school team. It does not matter where they played previously. In the end, the only impact a youth organization has on players making a high school team is their ability to prepare young players for the next level. I neither know, nor seek to know, where a player participated before attending Wayzata High School. All that matters is whether or not a player has the skill and determination to play high school baseball.

Thank you for your efforts in supporting Wayzata baseball and I hope you enjoy your spring and summer filled with ballgames.
